Mission Yearbook - September 17, 2006
First Presbyterian Church, Sun City

We maintain a direct mission relationship with the following organizations through prayer, monetary donations and on-site work.
  • Each week church members work at the Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank, and monthly at the West Side Food Bank.
  • We hold food drives twice a year
  • The Presbyterian Border Ministry (PBM) at Douglas/Agua Prieta (Mexico) makes suggestions to which we respond with gifts and money each year in December
  • Cook College and Theological School
  • Glendale Family Center
  • Coalition of Presbyterian Churches for Habitat for Humanity, West Valley
  • Montlure Camping Council
  • Nogales Presbyterian Border Ministry
  • Olive Branch, Sun City Senior Center
  • Interfaith Community Care
  • Sheldon Jackson College, Sitka, Alaska
  • We contribute to our Presbytery's New Church Developments: "Morning Star" in Surprise, and "Dios es Amor" in Phoenix
  • University of Dubuque Theological Seminary for Native American Studies
  • We support a "Just Coffee" project to benefit Chiapas Mexican farmers and Frontera de Christo PBM in Aqua Prieta, Mexico
Continuing Education Classes with various Mission and Bible Study emphases bring community interest as does the weekly Men's Breakfast program and active Presbyterian Women
