Mission Yearbook - April 27, 2008 Faith Prebyterian Church Faith Presbyterian Church sits in Sun City and serves the largest concentration of retired adults in the world. Many of its members have been faithful Presbyterians from childhood and love the church and its mission. Although not as able as years ago, many members still help load boxes at the Food Bank, travel to the Border, and volunteer in the community and with a number of mission efforts in the area, including Interfaith Community Care. Faith church vigorously supports the world mission of the PCUSA, BorderLinks, Just Coffee project, Cook School, Native American Church on the Gila River Reservation, Habitat for Humanity, Agua Fria and Westside Food Banks. Refugee Resettlement, and knit bandages for medical missions. In February 2007 19 congregation members, took part in the Mission Committee Outreach Trip…to the Border Ministry in Nogales, Arizona/Nogales Mexico and Douglas, Arizona/Agua Prieta, Mexico to the Border Ministries and also visited Just Coffee. A follow up program was held at Faith with the congregation sharing the learnings, feelings, and pictures of this experience. Now plans are being finalized for a second follow up…that being our Border ministers and Just Coffee folks coming to Faith for a Border Ministry Weekend February 23-24, 2008.
