The Synod of the Southwest presents Kaleidoscopes - a series of seminars on Biblical Preaching at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu and Santa Fe, made possible through a grant from the General Assembly Council to the Synod of the Southwest and is open to all pastors serving within the bounds of the Synod of the Southwest. Registration is limited to 60 participants.

Weaving Music and Culture in Biblical Preaching - Cost: $100 for room, board, transportation and registration. Leaders: Rev. Bill Carter, a Presbyterian Pastor in Clarks Summit, PA and jazz pianist/founder of Presbybop Quartet. Rev. Dr. Jana Childers, Dean of San Francisco Theological Seminary and professor of homiletics and speech communication.

Congratulations to Rev. Shelly Moe, Rev. Gale Watkins, and Shirley Randolph who each competed in the Foothills Races in Cave Creek last Saturday. They each placed in their respective age groups. Shelly won first place in her age group in the 10k (as she did in the 5K that she ran last week), Gale won third place in the 10K in his age group, and Shirley came in second in her age group in the 5K. |
