Mission Yearbook 2010 Mission del Sol takes the name of its faith community seriously. We are indeed about mission. Annually both our Junior and Senior High youth groups take a mission trip. Our adults have taken 6 mission teams in the last three years to areas where they could assist the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program including Mississippi, Louisiana and Iowa. Every three years we take a team to Honduras to work with 40 mountain bound communities. This year we hope to take an exploratory mission team to Kenya. Locally we are major supporters of Family Promise with provides housing for homeless families. We also participate with East Valley Men's Shelter, Tempe Emergency Assistance Ministry, Meals on Wheels, and a variety of other local mission efforts. We have instituted an unemployment support group that meets on Sunday mornings. Highlights for 2010 We have completed our new sanctuary and campus landscape and had a formal dedication service on Sunday, February 14th at 10 a.m. We welcome the prayers of the Presbytery at this exciting time in our expanding ministry and welcome all to attend the service if possible.
