The Presbytery of Grand Canyon is hereby called to meet for its Stated Meeting on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Cook School for Christian Leadership, Tempe, Arizona. Registration is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM with the meeting to begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
Highlights for this Stated Meeting as reflected on the Tentative Agenda are the following:
- Lighting of the Peace Candle
- How do we live our faith as congregations of believers within an increasingly multicultural nation and world? Rev. Raafat Girgis, Associate for Racial/Cultural Diversity with the Department of Evangelism of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will address this question in his presentation on "Doing Evangelism in Multicultural Settings within the PC(USA)." A multicultural church is a congregation that intentionally seeks to recognize, celebrate and incorporate a diverse membership in worship, in a creative and meaningful evangelism and in leadership. There will be time for dialogue following his presentation.

- Report of Stewardship, Mission and Communications Development Committee's Africa Task Force
- First Reading of the Sabbatical Leave Policy
- Enrollment of William Norton (Scottsdale PC) from Inquirer to Candidate
- Joint Task Force Report - Ministry and Theology and Worship Committees on "Living Out the Recommendations of the Peace, Unity and Purity Theological Task Force"
- Reception of new Minister Members
- Worship and Celebration of the Lord's Supper with the Rev. Kenneth Moe delivering the sermon
- Report of Council/Trustees
- Report of the Executive Presbyter
