    The Presbytery of Grand Canyon is hereby called to meet for its Stated Annual Meeting on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church, Carefree. Registration is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM with the meeting to begin promptly at 9:00 AM. First Presbyterian Church, Leupp is serving as Co-host of the meeting.

    Highlights for this Stated Annual Meeting as reflected on the Tentative Agenda are the following:
    • The Service of Worship will be led by Outgoing Moderator, Rev. Art Campbell. The Service will include the Necrology Report, Dedication of Mission Pledges, Installation of Glyndon Morris as Moderator and Celebration of the Lord's Supper
    • Annual Report of the Council Chairperson Barbara Walker and Presbytery Executive Ken Moe
    • Report of Council/Trustees and the approval of the Provisional Budget for 2009
    • Report of the Bills and Overtures Committee Regarding Recommendations on Proposed Amendments to the Constitution
    • Stewardship, Mission and Communications Development Committee Report
    • Report of the Administrative Commission to John Calvin Presbyterian Church
    • Report of the Special Administrative Review Committee to Ganado Presbyterian Church
    • Report on Other Actions of the 218th General Assembly in addition to the Proposed Constitutional Amendments
    • Annual Meeting of the Corporation to Elect New Officers for 2009

    Desert Hills Presbyterian Church is pleased to share with us in their brand new Fellowship facility in which to host our lunch. We will take advantage of their plan to have the lunch served Family Style at tables for eight by inviting presbyters to spend time at their tables in conversation around a question to be given the day of the meeting.

    We look forward to your participation in the Stated Annual Meeting and the opportunity it provides to re-connect with one another, to celebrate community and to joyfully offer ourselves to God and be equipped for God's service in the world through Worship.

    Cost for lunch: will be $6.00 per person.
