Mission Yearbook - August 23, 2009
Lehi Presbyterian Church
Lehi Presbyterian Church is one of the historically Native American congregations in the Presbytery. Formed in 1903, Lehi is one of the oldest churches in the Presbytery (along with most of the Native congregations). As one of the original mission churches, Lehi has been a leader in the Native American Ministries committee along with the Elders & Deacons Association throughout its history. Our church helps in the planning and leadership of the annual Camp Meeting for the Native American churches in the southern half of the Presbytery. We have been part of a tri-church parish which includes the Salt River and Fort McDowell Presbyterian churches.
Lehi has been served by ordained as well as lay pastors, and has strong elder leadership. Many of Lehi's members have participated in Christian education or theological training through Cook Theological Seminary. We recently said goodbye to our lay preacher, so we are praying for the Spirit to lead us on the next steps of our journey. Though we are a small church, we have an active children's and youth group, and we enjoy regular fellowship at holidays and other special times. We welcome all who wish to worship with us as we meet every Sunday at 10:00 a.m
