Mission Statement:

We are ordinary people serving an extraordinary God. We seek to build lives of dynamic discipleship for people of faith, to re-engage people of tired faith, and to introduce people without faith to Jesus Christ.

Mission Yearbook 2010

Heritage is a spirit-filled, multigenerational church in north Glendale. Some of our local mission includes a monthly collection for the Agua Fria Food & Clothing Bank as well as adopting families at Christmas. We support Habitat for Humanity with the Presbyterian Coalition in the West Valley, and our Deacons host an annual drive for Shoebox Ministry. A growing ministry that blesses people near and far is our own Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Internationally we have a growing relationship with a Christian doctor, John Tannous who provides medical care for the poor and afflicted in Yunnan, China. We also support street orphans in Kenya with an emphasis on encouraging them to stay in school.

We strive to increase our mission giving every year and support our Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly with a unified pledge plus extra giving to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the four special offerings of the PC(USA), and Montlure Camp.

Highlights for 2010

One focus this year is to involve our children and youth in local and international mission by having them get to know the people we serve by name and to share stories with each other.

Prayer requests

For the coming year, please pray that our eyes and hearts be open to new mission needs in our midst, and that we be granted the energy and enthusiasm of the Spirit to meet those needs.
