Transforming through Study & Prayer

Federated Community Church supports various community mission concerns, including the Flagstaff Family Food Kitchen, Flagstaff Shelter Services, Salvation Army, and Catholic Social Services. In addition, the church assists several nearby elementary schools with student supplies. Federated Church is recognized throughout the community for its open facilities for various 12 step recovery groups, Equality Arizona, PFLAG, and the La Leche League. For the past 5 years, too, Federated Church has led both organizing and hosting the community-wide National Day of Prayer Interfaith Prayer Breakfast on the first Thursday in May. And by way of a grant from the PC(USA), Federated started the Shared Earth Network, whose mission statement announces: "We recognize that sufficiency and sustainability lead to an abundant life for all. The mission of the Shared Earth Network is to bring transformation by uniting people of faith to advocate for environmental sustainability."

2010 finds Federated Church embarking on a new strategic direction:
Growing in Spirit
Growing in Service
Growing in Members
Federated Church rejoices at the recent decision to affiliate with More Light Presbyterians and Reconciling Network Ministries, its United Methodist Church counterpart. Federated seeks to be a welcoming and affirming congregation, with a heart for all of God's people, including those in the LGBT community.
