Mission Yearbook - April 2, 2006 Crosswinds Presbyterian Church Where will Crosswinds be in 2006? No one knows for sure! A year ago Crosswinds was in the midst of a building project, with construction planned before the end of 2005. How things change! In July, an offer was made to purchase our property. In November, the church not only closed on its current property, but also purchased land at 15th Ave and the 101. For years Crosswinds has been hampered by the fact that our property was neither visible nor easily accessible. All that will change with our new property! In March of 2006 we will no longer be at our present location, and at the time of this writing our session is seeking temporary facilities to use while our new building is being planned and built. Truly Crosswinds is in a state of transition. Our church is putting together a Transformational Team to help us re-examine who we are and how God will use us in a new neighborhood. While our Building Committee will plan the building, our Transformational Team will build the church that occupies the building. Through it all, Crosswinds still strives to fulfill its mission to attract, develop, nurture and deploy joyful, informed disciples of Jesus Christ with our numerous mission projects, educational and social activities for people of all ages, and an energetic Sunday morning worship service. | |
