Trinity Presbyterian, Prescott

Our Mission:

Trinity Presbyterian Church was founded in 1951, lead by the Chieftess of the Yavapai Tribe, Viola Jimulla. Since that time the church has prospered and now has a congregation of about 500 members. The church building has continued to expand and in 1990 a new sanctuary was completed. The congregation is nurtured and directed by two pastors: a Senior pastor and an Associate pastor. We also are very fortunate to have a very talented Director of Music, Administration and Development. In addition, our worship is enhanced by our organist who is a member of the American Guild of Organists.
Members have participated in international mission projects in Africa, Central America, South America and the Near East. Regionally we have assisted in activities on the Navajo Reservation and each year we contribute to the joy of Christmas for the children of the Canyon del Muerto Chapel near Chinle, Arizona. On a daily basis , the congregation is actively engaged in our community, mentoring in schools, providing meals to the homeless, and working in food banks. A significant portion of our church budget is directed towards mission projects locally, regionally, and internationally.
Our preschool has grown yearly and provides activities for about 15 children during the week. Following a series devoted to the topic of children at risk in our community, church members helped start a summer camp for elementary aged children which draws about 25 children from trailer parks and apartments nearby.
