Northminster Presbyterian

Mission Statement:

Preaching the Word; Teaching the Way; Healing the Broken

Our Mission:

At Northminster Presbyterian Church we support many missions; local, state, and world-wide. Our local services include providing food and gas vouchers, and bus tickets for people in the community who seek assistance from our church, as well as offering non-perishable food. Additionally we support Downtown Urban Community for Kids (D.U.C.K.).
We also donate Thanksgiving dinner boxes to the Agua Fria Food Bank (operated by Ministry for the Rural Poor), and to needy families from a school near us in Phoenix. We take part in the Angel Tree program, providing Christmas presents for over 40 children of prisoners last year.
Northminster is also helping support a seminary student locally.
Our youth group participates in neighborhood projects, including a reverse trick or treat on October 31st, handing our treats and information about our church to families in the neighborhood.
And finally, we provide support money to our youth ministries, including the proceeds from our fall barbeque going to the youth mission projects. We again worked with a coalition of Presbyterian churches to build a Habitat for Humanity house.
