Mission del Sol Presbyterian

Mission Statement:                       

Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church (USA) is a faith community that receives, proclaims and extends God's love through word and deed, builds disciples through creative worship and exploration of biblical truth, and fosters justice in all of God's creation.

Our Mission:

Mission del Sol takes the name of its faith community seriously. We are indeed about mission. Annually both our Junior and Senior High youth groups take a mission trip. Our adults have taken 6 mission teams in the last three years to areas where they could assist the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program including Mississippi, Louisiana and Iowa. Every three years we take a team to Honduras to work with 40 mountain bound communities. This year we hope to take an exploratory mission team to Kenya. Locally we are major supporters of Family Promise with provides housing for homeless families. We also participate with East Valley Men's Shelter, Tempe Emergency Assistance Ministry, Meals on Wheels, and a variety of other local mission efforts. We have instituted an unemployment support group that meets on Sunday mornings.
