Memorial Presbyterian
Our mission is to demonstrate God's love in the Arcadia community by:
Since 2005, we have become a multicultural church and, consequently, the primary
mission work that currently is being done in our congregation involves outreach
to our Hispanic community both within our walls and in the surrounding area.
Three Sundays a month, we have separate worship services. Once a month, we have
a combined communion service in Spanish and English. Each week, we have an
informal women's group to help our members learn both languages, have joint
fellowship followed by language-specific adult classes, and have Sunday school
for all our children together. We also have a nesting Tongan congregation that
worships on Sunday afternoons as well as several 12-step groups that meet at
various times throughout the week. We share our office space with RVNA, our
neighborhood association, and do joint projects with them during the
year.
