Our Mission:

The Rev. Emil Schwab began a mission at INdian Wells in 1910. He built the manse that same year, which was said to have been an outgrowth of the Tochaco mission.  The Rev. W.R. Johnston was the missionary at Tolchaco which later united with Leupp mission.  Johnston joind Indian Wells after Schwab transferred away.  He saw the need for a hospital and persuaded the Women 's Board to build one at Indian Wells.

the church building was erected in 1922 under the ministry of D.K. Ward.  and organized as a church December 23, 1923.  Around 1931 or 1932, the hospital was closed, with patients being sent to the hospital at Ganado. Roger and Grace Davis transferred to Indian Wells following W.R. Johnston's retirement in 1937.  Thomas Medicine followed from 1971 to 1999 and in 2000, Gilbert Manygoats became pastor.

A fire in 1995 destroyed the church.  The manse served as the church until the new building was constructed in 2001.
