Faith Presbyterian
Faith Presbyterian Church, based on a dynamic relationship with God through
Jesus Christ, strives to be an inclusive and nurturing community devoted to
meaningful worship and spiritual growth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach
out to the world in love. The Faith Mission Committee is committed to serving those in need globally,
nationally, within the state, and with a special emphasis on local cares and
concerns. Each year, all mission projects are evaluated and budgeted for
financially. But most importantly, beyond the financial support the committee is
able to provide, the committee seeks to have personal connections with those
projects (where distance makes it possible) to be actually involved in the work
of the annually designated mission project. Some of the Mission Committee funded
projects include, Siloam Eye Institute on Korea, knit bandages for the lepers in
Laos, Mama Makeka House of Hope in The Congo, and Mercy Corp. Some of the in
State projects include: BorderLinks, Humane Borders, and Presbyterian Campus
Ministries at the University of Phoenix and Florence Immigration Rights Project.
Some of the local projects supported are; Three Phoenix area Food Banks, Family
Promise, Habitat for Humanity, Refugee Resettlement Program, Interfaith Programs
and their building fund. |
