Central Presbyterian

Mission Statement:

Central Presbyterian Church testifies to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We are a Christian congregation serving everyone, with emphasis on ministry to American Indian people in the Phoenix metropolitan area. We participate with, and are mutually supportive of other American Indian ministries, churches and organizations seeking common goals. Our ministry includes worship, teaching the Christian faith, outreach and fellowship throughout the community. In all our ministry, we seek guidance and strength from the Holy Spirit. We are committed to service in obedience to the teaching of God’s word.

Our Mission:

Central Presbyterian Church has existed on the southwest corner of 2nd Street and Indian School Road for over 85 years serving the surrounding Native American community. Ministry that began alongside Cook Christian Training School reaches out to include many different tribal affiliations, from Hopi to Tohono O'Odham, Mohave to Choctaw. Central's ministry is unique in that it is the only Native American congregation in an urban setting.
